Guideline for Internship Programs and Technical Visits (2016) ENG

The purpose of these Guidelines is to provide SAIs with a basis for understanding the nature and operation of internship programs. This basis is intended to provide a starting point from which each SAl can create their own approach to the satisfactory management of internship programs within the context of each SAl’s jurisdiction and mandate. It is therefore a very important tool for the further development of similar Guidelines by other SAIs. The Guidelines are based on best management practices distilled from the experience of various international organizations. These Guidelines comprehensively embrace all possible aspects of managing internship programs and managing learning experience for interns
