The CBC website continues to share the success stories in the series provided by the INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation. Please enjoy the two new IDC success stories of SAI Bhutan and of the PASAI region:
- “SAI Bhutan Responding to Emerging Challenges”: The Royal Audit Authority of Bhutan has initiated several development programs in an effort to address its challenges, several of which originated from the Cooperation (3i program, Global Call for Proposals, SAI PMF assessment, SAI CDF). The efforts have led to enhanced credibility and audit quality, an audit on public debt management which contributed to a public debt policy and threshold in Bhutan, and a new strategic plan to further enhance public confidence in the SAI.
- “Regional Collaboration To Close The Accountability Gap-the PASAI Approach”: Coordinated regional support to enhance audit skills in small island developing states has helped close the accountability gap in Tuvalu and Kiribati by bringing audits of government financial statements up to date. This has led to enhanced public confidence in government by providing assurance that funds were spent as intended. Peer-peer support has been instrumental in achieving these results, as well as for SAI PMF assessments in the region.
