The INTOSAI Subcommittee on Peer Reviews is pleased to share recent contributions from the SAIs of Austria, France, and the European Court of Auditors (ECA), which reflect the growing engagement and diversity of approaches to peer reviews within the INTOSAI community.
These articles illustrate how Peer Reviews – whether initial or follow-up, internal or external – can serve as valuable tools for institutional learning, strategic development, and enhanced accountability. From Austria’s reflections on the practical challenges and benefits of hosting a review, to France’s strategic use of follow-up assessments, and the ECA’s focus on targeted improvement areas, each experience contributes to a broader understanding of how peer reviews can support excellence in public auditing.

- Share experiences and outputs to foster mutual learning and transparency;
- Monitor progress and promote the use of peer review findings in strategic planning and operational improvements.
More articles and insights from other SAIs will be published soon. We invite all members of the INTOSAI community to stay engaged and explore how peer reviews can support their own developmental goals.
