On December 12-13, the Swedish National Audit Office (SNAO) organized a workshop for supreme audit insitiutions in complex and chllenging contexts. The workshop took place back-to-back with a conference held by IFAC (International Federation of Accountants) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This workshop was conducted within the framework of SNAO’s CBC vice chairmanship, and leading the working group ACCC. The participants, representing SAIs from all over the world, shared experiences on a variety of themes. Topics discussed had been proposed by the participants and included among others, how to strengthen and retain competent staff, develop relations with Parliament, fight corruption both internally and externally, and how to strengthen SAIs’ independence. The experiences shared in Kuala Lumpur will be summarized and passed on in various ways via both CBC and ARABOSAI.
