Throughout her career as an auditor, trainer, and technical specialist, Jane Meade has nurtured a particular passion for learning and capacity development.
As Group Executive Director (Professional Services and Relationships Group, Australian National Audit Office) – and as one of the leaders of a project to review SAI Australia’s learning and development framework – the INTOSAI CBC’s professional pronouncements on Auditor competence has been a project close to her heart.
In this video, Jane – who is also a member of INTOSAI’s Forum for INTOSAI Professional Pronouncements (FIPP) – speaks to the value of ISSAI 150 as a driver of the concept of “global profession, local solution”, and the importance of international standards that are sufficiently flexible to consider unique characteristics of individual SAIs, such as their mandate, size and stage of development.
