The ability of SAIs to fulfil their mandates by conducting high-quality, high-impact audits depends disproportionately on the skills, integrity and competence of their staff.
This is true for all SAIs around the world.
In this interview, Manal Alduhaymi, Head of International Relations: SAI Saudi Arabia, talks about how auditing standards support and enable the execution of the work of SAIs, and especially the impact that ISSAI 150 is already having in ARABOSAI. She also reflects on her journey with the Task Force on INTOSAI Auditor Professionalisation, and what it has meant for her, personally, to be involved in the process of developing a competency framework for auditors.
