Sound auditor competence frameworks are essential tools towards establishing, and maintaining, the highest professional standards in public auditing. Developing SAIs, however, face a much tougher challenge in this regard due to the limited public resources at their disposal.
In this interview, Pamela Monroe-Ellis, Auditor General of Jamaica and Secretary-General of CAROSAI, explains why ISSAI 150 is especially important for developing countries. She also shares why she is confident that ISSAI 150 is both applicable and implementable by all SAIs, regardless of regional context.
