Since XXI INCOSAI in Beijing, the INTOSAI Capacity Building Committee has had the honour to participate in a couple of events organised within the OLACEFS region. In December 2013 the CBC Chair, Kimi Makwetu, attended the OLACEFS Assembly in Santiago in Chile and presented a CBC status update. In September 2014, the CBC annual meeting was hosted by the SAI of Peru in the beautiful city of Lima.
At the OLACEFS Assembly in Cusco, 24-28 November, owing to the strong cooperation between the CBC and OLACEFS Presidency, Mr Luciano Dos Santos Danni offered to kindly present a CBC status update at the event.
The status update focussed on the key outcomes of the annual CBC meeting and on the goals of the CBC for the next two years, by means of which the CBC plans to benefit the INTOSAI community, especially the regional capacity building structures. The status update was well received, and Luciano reported that the OLACEFS community was looking forward to continue to share its capacity building experiences with the CBC and INTOSAI regions.
