Organizational integrity is fundamental to the credibility of Supreme Audit Institutions. As SAIs, we are expected to lead by example, and public trust depends on our ability to govern and conduct our work in a transparent, accountable and effective manner.

IntoSAINT (INTOSAI Self-Assessment of Integrity) supports this effort by holding up a mirror to our organizations.

High-integrity organizations are more likely to make sound decisions, use resources effectively, manage risks proactively and maintain the trust of their stakeholders. Through structured self-assessment and dialogue, IntoSAINT helps SAIs identify and reflect on integrity risks and issues that may affect organizational performance and credibility.

The Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of Norway assumed leadership of the CBC IntoSAINT subcommittee in 2026 and seeks to further strengthen IntoSAINT as a practical tool for governance and organizational performance.

Key priorities going forward include:

  • Making IntoSAINT a practical tool for strengthening SAI governance
  • Using IntoSAINT to identify risks and challenges that may affect organizational performance
  • Supporting better decision-making, accountability and transparency
  • Encouraging leadership reflection on governance and integrity-related risks
  • Strengthening institutional credibility and public trust

The new IntoSAINT Handbook reflects a major revision of the methodology, making IntoSAINT more relevant and practical for today’s SAIs. Learn more about IntoSAINT here and find the newly published IntoSAINT Handbook here.
