The quality of work is essential to SAIs, as it directly impacts their credibility, reputation, and effectiveness. Ensuring this quality can be a significant challenge.
This webinar will provide an overview of the newly adopted ISSAI 140 and explore how SAIs are implementing it, along with ISQM 1 and 2. These standards are pivotal for enhancing audit quality and ensuring risk-based, dynamic systems of quality management.
Speakers and content
- Karma Tenzin and Mark Flores (INTOSAI Development Initiative)
will present the theoretical foundation of the revised ISSAI 140. They will explain its evolution, highlight key changes, and introduce the IDI System of Audit Quality Playbook, a tool to help SAIs design their own quality management systems. - Jamie Paterson (UK National Audit Office)
will provide a practical perspective, sharing the NAO’s experience in implementing their quality management system aligned with ISQM 1 and ISQM 2. He will discuss their approach to risk assessment, as well as monitoring and evaluating the quality of operations. - Interactive Q&A
