A core part of managing a modern Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) is ensuring that the organisation has appropriate levels of information and communications technology (ICT) to
enable the most efficient delivery of the SAI’s functions. In this context ICT covers the services, systems, infrastructure and personnel capabilities that the SAI consumes.
An INTOSAI Capacity Building Committee Guide has been written to help senior managers in SAIs understand what constitutes modern ICT and what they might expect from their ICT
services provider, be they internal or external. It will be of use to ICT staff in SAIs to help them ensure that their work is consistent with international good practices. It will also be of use to
staff at a SAI who consume ICT services to understand how ICT is managed.
